Needle: Us 7 Yarn: Manos Maxima (worsted weight) Gauge: 18 sts / 27 rows over 4" (roughly)
Pattern:
Using a Crochet Provisional Cast-on and scrap cotton yarn, cast on 50 sts RS: K across wS: K4 P to last 8 sts, K8 Repeat until the length of your rectangle is 19" Using a row counter, or by reading your work, at rows (Rs) 9, 25, 43, 59, 77, 93, 111, & 127, perform the following: K across to 10 sts from end, YO, K2tog, K to end. \*\*Optional #1 : continue until your rectangle is 2" smaller than your head circumference. You wil have to re-distribute your YOs evenly along the length of the piece. This means you will need to know your gauge and do some math. It's easy! You can do it! \*\*Optional #2: To up the ante, instead of sleek stockinette, add some cables or other patterning. Have fun With it.
Finishing
At the garter stitches, you will perform Grafting and at the stockinette, you will do Kitchener Stitch.
