p: purl c2b: slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold at back of work. Knit next stitch. Slip stitch from cable needle back onto left hand needle and knit it. c2f: slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold at front of work. Knit next stitch. Slip stitch from cable needle back onto left hand needle and knit it. c4b: slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold at back of work. Knit next 2 stitches. Slip the 2 stitches from cable needle back onto left hand needle and knit them. c4f: slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold at front of work. Knit next 2 stitches. Slip the 2 stitches from cable needle back onto left hand needle and knit them. MB: make bobble. [k1, yo, k1, yo, k1] into next stitch to create bobble stitches. Turn work. k5 (these are the bobble stitches you just created). Turn work. k2tog, slip the k2tog stitch just worked back onto the left hand needle, pass the 3 remaining bobble stitches on the left hand needle over the top of the k2tog stitch. You have one bobble stitch remaining. Knit this stitch.

Row 1 (centre cable row): p3, c2b, p3, c4b, c4f, p3, c2f,p3 Row 2: k3, p2, k3, p8, k3, p2, k3 Row 3: p3, k2, p3, k8, p3, k2, p3 Row 4: as Row 2 Row 5 (bobble row): p3, c2b, p1, MB, p1, k8, p3, c2f, p3 Row 6: as Row 2 Row 7 (centre cable row): p3, k2, p3, c4b, c4f, p3, k2,p3 Row 8: as Row 2 Row 9: p3, c2b, p3, k8, p3, c2f, p3 Row 10: as Row 2 Row 11 (bobble row): p3, k2, p3, k8, p1, MB, p1, k2, p3 Row 12: as Row 2

Repeat these 12 rows until scarf measures 295cm or until it reaches the required length, ending on a centre cable row. Cast off in pattern. To finish, weave in all ends. Block your work under a damp cloth to even out the stitches.
