Handy Information for this CAL

What you will need for this project:

Worsted weight acrylic yarn. I've used Red Heart Super Saver: 7 oz (198g): Any colors: 74 ounces (2101.6g) or ELEVEN skeins for king size. Each designer will provide alternatives so make sure you pay attention to that section in the pattern to make sure your blocks all end up the same size. ·Size I (5.5mm) crochet hook Afghan blocks for this CAL are meant to be all solid colors (so the sampler feel radiates throughout the project) and finished yarn amounts will vary depending on how much you customize. All designers have been asked to show off their squares in a solid color and with color changes! Be sure to purchase with that in mind. That said, this is also a GREAT scrap saver blanket since you only need a small amount for most squares!

Approximately how many squares you'll need for the size you want to make:

· Small Pet Blanket: 8 (arranged 2x2) or 9 (arranged 3x3) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet 8 squares at any point throughout the CAL. Large Pet Blanket: 25 (arranged 5x5) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire CAL being sure to skip 1 week throughout to end up with 25 squares. Crib Blanket: 28 (arranged 4x7) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire CAL being sure to skip 4 weeks throughout to end up with 28 squares. Toddler Blanket: 30 (arranged 5x6) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire CAL being sure to skip 6 weeks throughout to end up with 30 squares. Child Blanket: 36 (arranged 6x6) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire CAL plus 12 extra squares (meaning you will crochet 2 blocks for any 12 weeks you choose instead of just 1 to end upwith36squaresforyourblanket). Twin Sized Blanket: 60 (arranged 6x10) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. Long Twin Sized Blanket: 66 (arranged 6x11) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1 square a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. Double Sized Blanket: 80 (arranged 8x10) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1.5 squares a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. Long Double Sized Blanket: 88 (arranged 8x11) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 1.5 squares a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. Queen Sized Blanket: 99 (arranged 9x11) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 2 squares a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. King Sized Blanket: 110 (arranged 10x11) squares. If you elect to make this size you should be aiming to crochet at least 2 squares a week for the entire 52 weeks of the year. Keep in mind that the arrangement should be Number of Rows Across (in width) x Number of Columns Down (in length). Feel free to add in more rows/columns to make your blanket longer/wider and be sure to keep in mind your joining method as lacy joins will cause your blanket to 'spread' more than solid joins.
