The shaping of the front and bottom edges of the cardigan is made with a combination of increases, decreases, and short rows. The sleeves are then worked in the round. To finish, the edgings are worked onto the cast-on, bind-off and selvege edges of the cardigan. The flowers are worked separately and sewn on. M1L (left-leaning increase): Pick up yarn between sts with left needle from back to front and knit through front loop. M1R (right-leaning increase): Pick up yarn between sts with left needle from front to back and knit through back loop. K1fb: Knit through front and back of stitch.
