Hearts
These socks are inspired by the love between my husband and I. He is the love of my life We have been married for 14 years, and together we have 5 beautiful And amazing children. I wish everyone such a deep and wonderful love . The name Hearts is because I feel our hearts is one. Happy knitting :0) The socks are knitted cuff down on 2.5 mm double pointed needles. Your choice of yarn , I used Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn 2 in different colors. Sizes: women's Small (Medium) Yarn: Two 1o0 grams skeins of Shepherd sock yarn in 2 contrasting colors( Shown in colors Dusk and Somerset ) Or , an equally fingering weight sock yarn. Needles and notions: set of 5 US 1.5 ( 2.5 mm ) double pointed needles, or size to obtaingauge. Stitch holder ( optional) Gauge: 32 st and 38 rows to 4" in pattern. Instructions: The socks are knitted top down with an hourglass style heel. make two socks alike, or reverse the colors. Notes: the diagram is followed bottom up. Cuff: Use main color and cast on 56 ( 64 ) stitches. Join to work in the round, and work in a K2 , P2 rib for 15 rounds. Knit 1 round even and increase 8 stitches 64 (72) stitches Knit 1 more round even. Follow the diagram ,repeat row 18 to 11 until the cuff measures 6.5" ( 7.5" ) Stop where you are in the pattern, it will continue at the same spot when the heel is finished. The heel is knitted in contrast color. Knit the heel over half the stitches. 32 (36) st. Note : Knit all rows of the heel stitches, back and forth for an elastic and strong heel.

Hourglass heel
Knit 1 row with contrast color before the heel knitting starts ! Always slip the first stitch while knitting the heel. Knit until 1 stitch before end of row, turn and knit until 1 stitch before end . Turn, knit until 2 stitches before end ( included the 1 stitch on last row) turn and knit until 2 stitchesbefore end. Knit until 3 stitches before end, turn , knit until 3 stitches before end . Continue knitting like this until you've got 12 ( 14 ) stitches on each side that's not knitted. The stitches will be divided like this 12-8-12( 14-8-14 ) stitches . Continue slipping the first stitch on each row. Next row ,knit to the space between the knitted and unknitted stitches, pick up the thread in the space and knit the thread and the next stitch together through the back loops . Turn, knit to next space and pick up the thread , knit the thread and the next stitch together through the back loops. Continue like this until all the heel stitches is knitted. Knit one row back to where the other thread is "waiting" Knit 2 rounds with main color and Continue with the diagram until the foot reaches 17.5 ( 19) cm , end the heart diagram with row 3 - 2 to give it a neet ending of the hearts. Then knit 2 rounds in main color.
Toe decrease
Je nach gewinschter Lange nach nebenstehendem Chart F weiter stricken. Knit one decrease round as written Needle 1 and 3. Knit 1, knit 2 tog through the back loops Needle 2 and 4. Knit until 3 stitches remain on the needle , knit 2 together , knit 1 Knit 3 rounds without decrease. Knit 1 round decreasing. Knit 2 rounds without decrease. Knit 1 round decrease. Knit 1 round without decrease. From now on decrease on every round until you've got 8 stitches left on the needles, pull the thread through remaining stitches and fasten off.
