ABBREVIATIONS
sssk = slip 3 sts knitwise one stitch at a time. Insert tip of left needle through front of these 3 sts and knit them together through the back loop - 2 sts decreased. S2kp = Insert right needle into next 2 sts as if to k2 tog, slip both sts off needle, kl, sl 2 slipped sts together over knitted st -- 2 stitches decreased. M1R = With left needle tip, lift the running thread between the st just worked and the next st from back to front. Work by knitting the lifted loop through the front. M1L = with left needle tip, lift the running thread between the st just worked and the next st from front to back. Work by knitting the lifted loop through the back.

LACE PATTERN (mulItiple Of 13 sts) Rnd 1: K. Rnd 2: \*K1, yo, k4, k2tog, ssk, k4, yo; repeat from \* to end of rnd. Rep rnds 1 and 2 for pattern.
LEFT GLOVE
With larger ndls and MC, using long tail CO, CO 52 sts, placing marker for side seam after 26th stitch. Divide stitches evenly onto 4 needles as follows. Mark for beg of round. 26 sts for palm and 26 sts for back of hand. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Work in Lace Patt for 8 rnds, then cont in Lace Patt in foll Stripe Sequence: 6 rnds B, 4 rnds A, 2 rnds C, 2 rnds D. Change to smaller ndls and Cont in Lace Patt as foll: 2 rnds C, 4 rnds A, 6 rnds B, 8 rnds MC. Hand: Work rnds 1 - 7 of Hand Chart. Rnd 8, establish thumb gore: patt 23, pm, M1R, k1, M1L, pm; patt to end of rnd. Cont to work sts before and after markers in patt as est from Hand Chart; sts between markers are shown on Thumb Gore chart. Rnd 23: Patt to first m, remove m; place next 17 sts on holder or waste yarn for thumb; remove m; cast on 1 st for inside edge of thumb; patt to end. 52 sts. work even according to Hand Chart through Rnd 36. Using MC, bind off.
RIGHT GLOVE
Work as for Left Glove through Rnd 7 of Hand Chart. Rnd 8, establish thumb gore: patt 29, pm, m1R, k1, m1L, pm, patt to end. Complete as for Left Glove.
Thumb
Transfer 17 held thumb sts to 2 smaller dpn. Join MC, knit 17 transferred sts, then pick up and k 5 sts at base of thumb. 22 sts. Divide evenly on 3 dpn and mark for beg of round. Rnd 1: K 17, ssk, k1, k2 tog. 20 sts. Rnd 2: Work even. Rnd 3: K17, s2kp. 18 sts. Rnds 4 and 5: work even. Rnd 6: Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in any remaining yarn ends. Block lightly.
