Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey Scarf

A stealth scarf for the Dr Who fan who wants to be a little more subtle. The scarf is made in filet crochet using 840m of double-knitting wool with a 3.5mm hook. The police box pattern was inspired by Amy Schilling's Dr Who Fair Isle pattern (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/doctorwho-fair-isle). The pattern is made up of three panels of filet crochet, each of which is worked from the top to the bottom. N.B. This pattern uses American crochet terms. Foundation row: 75 chain, sc into 3rd chain from hook, sc in each chain to the end of the row (73 sc).

Crochet panel A, then continue to panel B and finish with panel C. Complete the pattern with each open square (white) formed from a (2ch, tr) group, and each filled square (blue) formed from a (3dc) group. Start each row with 3ch to form the first dc. Once all three panels are complete, add a final row of sc across the 73 dc to form the edge of the scarf. Use the remaining wool to fringe both ends of the scarf.
