Ifind it difficult to work with a chart that shows a dark color as C when I am using a light coloras CC. However. allthe black eats up ink!So, I have included both sets of charts..my original charts and the inverted color charts. You can choose which you would like to work with and print only those pages. \*The nephew I created this hat for is named Daniel Lynn. To make the chart,I found pictures on the Internet of the Runic Alphabet and made my own chart. 1 also found other Celtic symbols and went with the Celtic Cross as the separator. Unless you know someone who is proficient in reading Runes, you can use this chart to obtain "the look." However, if you want to customize it, you will need to make your own chart. As worked, my chart is exactly 85 sts, which works well with the Sword chart which is 17 sts per repeat, repeated 5 times around for a total of 85 sts as well.
