The Tuuletar cardigan was designed for a thin girl according to the recipient's wishes and knit of warm but fine alpaca yarn. The hoodie is knit top down, so it's easy to try on. The elongated sleeve ends to warm the knuckles but leave thumbs free are formed with short rows.

Pattern
Hood
Cast on 116- 124 -132 - 140 stitches. First row is the pattern set up row (ws). Work as follows: p4, k4, p 4, k4, p2, k2, purl until there's 20 stitches left on row, k2, p2, k4, p 4, k4, p 4. Knit 20 stitches according to chart 1 and then knit until there's 20 stitches left. Knit these stitches according to chart 2. Continue knitting according to charts on both sides and work the stitches in between in stockinette. When hood measures ca 24 - 27 - 27 - 30 cm, begin body.
Body
On next wrong side row place 4 markers as follows: Work first 20 stitches in pattern as established, p 3, place marker Purl $10-12-14-16.$ place marker . Purl 50 - 54 - 58 - 62, place marker Purl 10 - 12 - 14 - 16, place marker Purl 3, work last 20 stitches in pattern as established Begin V-neck and raglan increases on next right side row. All increases are made by looping yarn on the needle. Work 20 sts according to chart 1, k 1, increase 1 for V-neck. Knit until 1 stitch remains before marker, inc 1, k 2, inc 1. Repeat increase around each marker. When there's 21 stitches left on row, increase once more for V-neck. K 1, work 20 sts according to chart 2.

Repeat increases for V-neck 4 - 8 - 11 - 16 times and raglan increases until there are 310 - 324 - 338 - 350 sts in work. Both fronts have 52 - 54 - 57 - 59 sts, both sleeves 56 - 58- 60 - 62 sts and back has 94 - 100 - 104 - 108 sts. On next row work as established without further increases to first marker. Put sleeve stitches on waste yarn or stitch holder. Cast on 6 stitches for underarm. Work across back, place sleeve stitches on waste yarn or stitch holder, cast on 6 stitches for underarm and work other front as established. Continue work as established with these 210 - 220 - 230 - 238 sts.
Hem
When work measures 38 - 40 - 42 - 44 cm or ca 6 cm less than desired length and you have worked a full repeat of charts 1 and 2, mark middle of the row and start hem. First work left corner according to chart 3. Then continue cable according to chart 1. Cable is now worked towards the body stitches and knit together with the body as follows. Work 20 stitches of pattern. Ssk, turn work. P 1, work pattern as established. Repeat these two rows. On every 3rd repeat, work sssk instead of ssk to prevent hem from flaring. Repeat until you reach marker on mid-back of the piece. Leave hem stitches on waste yarn or holder. Work right corner according to chart 4. Note that short rows are now worked on the wrong side. Then continue cable according to chart 2. This time the cable is knit onto the body on ws rows: work 20 sts of pattern. P2tog, turn work. K 1, work pattern as established. On every 3rd repeat, work P3tog instead of P2tog. When you reach the marker and all body stitches are worked together with hem stitches, graft the edges of the hem together.

The narrow sleeves are easiest to work with double-pointed needles, on two circulars or on one circular needle using magic loop. Cast on 3 stitches, place marker to indicate beginning of round and the underarm seam, cast on 3 more stitches. Work across the 56 - 58 - 60 - 62 stitches left on hold for the sleeve and the 3 stitches first cast on for underarm. Knit 10 rounds. Work decrease round: k1, k2tog, knit until 3 stitches remain before marker, ssk, k1. Repeat decrease round every 8. - 9. - 10. - 11. rounds another 9 - 9 - 10 - 10 times. Then continue without further decreases. When sleeve measures 48 - 52 - 56 - 60 cm (measured from underarm down) or reaches base of thumb on recipient's hand, begin short row shaping. Work until 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 stitches remain before marker. Turn work. Purl across stitches until 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 stitches remain before marker. Turn work. \*Knit to one stitch before last turning point. Turn work. Purl to one stitch before last turning point.Turn work.\* Repeat \*-\* another 6 -6-8-8 times. Knit to end of round and another round even. Then work garter stitch: purl 1 round, knit 1 round, purl 1 round. Cast off.
Finishing
