NETTLE GROVE Striped Diagonal Scarf
Approximate Measurements: after blocking 7" wide x 66" long Materials: Nettle Grove: 150G ball EACH of 4 colors; we used 31 Seashell, 32 Seagrass, 37 Mermaid, 38 Purple Parrot OR 2-50G balls in one color- see Note. Gauge: 20.5 sts, 15.5 rows= 4" in Pattern Stitch on US Size 7 (4.5mm) after blocking. (Measure your swatch across the horizontal width, not the actual direction of the stitches.) Needles: US Size 7 (4.5mm) straight knitting needle. Note: The scarf can be made with one color using 2 balls of yarn to achieve the 66" length. If you are working in stripe, designate your color sequence, labeling the colors as A, B, C or D as you like.
Pattern Stitch
Row 1 (RS): Kf&b, k to last 2 sts, k2tog. Row 2: P across. Rows 3-6: Rep Rows 1 and 2. Row 7: Kf&b, (yo, k2tog)16 times, k1, k2tog. Row 8: P across. Rep these 8 rows for pattern st. Begin With color A, CO 36 sts. Alternate between colors A, B, C and D, working in Pattern Stitch for 32 rows in each color. Rep this sequence once more. (Each color will have two- 32 row sections.)
