Trip to Belfast by E.A. Kelley
My brother has made 3 pilgrimages to Ireland. On his $3^{\mathrm{rd}}$ trip he specifically went to visit the North and the city of Belfast. The lovely souvenir that he brought back for me on that particular trip was a pewter disc with the Bann Triskel. I thought it would me nice to translate this ancient symbol into a motif for a knitting project, and hence this shawl was born. I chose to divide it into the two colors as homage to the Irish flag's color scheme with a hope that it would convey the same beauty of the flag.
