Skill level: Advance. A very easy sheep design modified to make a Zombie dog toy. Show in Caron Simply Soft yarn in violet for body, black and red for legs. Materials: US size6 dpn Yarn needle A squeaky for noise (optional dog toy) Abbreviations: k = knit; p = purl; pm = place marker; M1 = (Make 1 increase), this means to increase a stitch by lifting loop between stitches with left needle and knit it with pattern; k2tog = knit two stitches together.

Body:
Long tail cast on 12 sts evenly (4 sts per dpn). Pm and join being careful not to twists. K two rounds. M1 on the first and last stitch on each needle. (18 sts or 6 sts in every dpn) K one round. M1 on the first and last stitch on each needle (24 sts or 8 sts in every dpn) K one round M1 on the first and last stitch on each needle (30 sts or 10 sts in every dpn) K two rounds M1 on the first and last stitch on each needle (36 sts or 12 sts in every dpn) Knit until body measures 7 inches in length.
Begin Decrease:
Continue knitting in the round and k2tog (decrease) every 6th stitch; (31 sts) K2tog (decrease) every 5th stitch; (26 sts) K2tog (decrease) every 4" stitch; (21 sts) k2tog (decrease) every 3rd stitch. (16 sts) Dec 4 sts evenly. (12 sts) CO 14 sts and arrange stitches so the new cast on is split in two needles this is the middle front (head). (26 sts) K two rounds. Round 1: K1, m1, k7; next needle k4, m1, k1, m1, k4; next needle k7, m1, k1. Round 2: K one round. Rep these two round three more times. (38 sts) K three rounds; leaving the last stitch and place it on left needle. K2tog then k round. K2tog then k round. (36 sts) Hold the two front needles together to do a 3 needle bind off on the first 7 stitches; then k a K 2, k2tog to end. (18 sts) K1, k2tog to end. (11 sts) Cut yarn leaving 10 to 12 inches, with a yarn needle pass through loops and tie off. Legs (Knit 2): black and red yarn (wound) With long tail method Cast on 8 stitches and join in the round (being careful not to twist). Purl 4 rounds, change to red yarn and purl 4 rounds using magic loop technique. 3 needle bind off. Legs (Knit 2): black yarn With long tail method Cast on 8 stitches and join in the round (being careful not to twist). Purl 12 rows using magic loop technique 3 needle bind off. Ears (make 2): Cast on five stitches Knit four rows using loose I-Chord technique Decrease first and last stitches on next row Knit two more rows Decrease one Knit row Bind off. Axe: With black yarn I-cord 6 sts for 10 rounds, bind off. With light color I-cord 4 sts for 4 rounds, bind off. Attach it with red yarn to head to simulate stabbing. Assemble instructions: Embroider eyes, nose and mouth (shown with a tongue). Stuff legs and body with fiber fill, (add squeaky toy if desired for dog toy) Attach legs, arms and ears. Enjoy pattern.
