Materials:
4Ply Worsted Weight Yarn: Green, Red, White, Black 3.5mm Crochet Hook 5.0mm Crochet Hook Stitch Marker Tapestry Needle Thick Hair Elastic
Abbreviations:
ch = chain sc = single crochet hdc = half double crochet st = stitch sts = stitches slst = slip stitch
Cozy:
With green yarn and 5.0mm hook, start with a magic circle, and hdc 6 times in ring, place st marker in last st. (6 sts) Rnd 1: 2 hdc in each st around. Place st marker. (12 sts) Rnd 2: \* 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st. Repeat from \* around. Place st marker. (18 sts) Rnd 3: \* 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts. Repeat from \* around. Place st marker. (24 sts) Rnd 4: \*This round is worked in back loops only\* Hdc in each st around. Place st marker. (24 sts) Rnd 5-13: Hdc in each st around, marking and the end of each round with st marker. Fasten off green and join red. (24 sts) Rnd 14: While holding hair elastic over sts, sc in each st around. (24 sts)
Eye 1:
With white and 3.5mm hook, start with a magic circle and sc 6 times into ring. Fasten off white and join black. (6 sts) Rnd 1: 2 sc in each st around. Place st marker. (12 sts) Rnd 2: hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Fasten offleaving a long tail for sewing.
Eye 2:
With black and 3.5mm hook, start with a magic circle and sc 4 times into ring. Fasten off black and join red. (4 sts) Rnd 1: 2 sc in each st around. Fasten off red and join white. (8 sts) f next 3 sts. Sc in remaining sts around and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly:
Using a whip stitch, sew on both eyes according to photo. Then using black yarn and a simple back st, sew on a mouth and nose.
