Knitted Drawstring Pants
This free pattern is for the drawstring pants. I made this pattern to go with the sweater which is from the Bernat Baby Bloomers booklet and the hat which is free pattern from Bernat. Sizes: 12 month Materials: Bernat Sofftee Baby Jacquards 1 1/2 skeins (346 yards) Bernat Softee Baby 1 skein Pretty Pink Size 5 needles Gauge: 22sts and 32 rows = 4 inches
Instructions:
CO 55sts Work 1 x 1 rib for 8 rows, inc 2 sts on last row Work 5 rows euen, Inc one st on each side in next and euery following 5 rows once then euery 4 following rows 11 times Last increase row, work inc 1 in middle of row. Work 5 rows euen Dec one st each side next row and euery following 5 rows once. then dec one each side euery following 4 rows 1i times Last dec work in middle of row. Bind off all stitches Sew inner leg seams. Sew crotch seam. Around waist, beginning at center front, pick up and knit 122 sts. Work 6 rows stockinette st. Next row: K2 together, yo, repeat across. Work 6 rows stockinette st Next row: K2, K2 together, yo, work to last 4, yo, K2 tog, K2 two eyelets made for drawstring. Fold edging under and sew to seam.
