Gryffindor Beanie
Needles: Size 7 16" circular needles/ Size 7 DPN's Yarn: Vanna's choice in Cranberry and Mustard. Uses around half a skein of each. Perfect if you've just been knitting a Gryffindor scarf and have a little left over yarn. This is a one size fits all hat. If you need it a little bigger however then you can use a size 8 16" circular. If you need it a lot bigger, try a heavier yarn with a bigger needle. Measurements: Meausures approx. 18.5 inches around, 10.5 inches high with brim folded down, 8.5 inches tall with brim folded up.

MC- Main color (Cranberry) CC- Contrast color (Mustard) SSK- Slip two stitches, one at a time knit wise, knit both slipped stitches together K2tog- Knit two stitches together K- knit P- Purl Cast on 68 stitches
Work in K2, P2 rib for 2 inches
Rows 1-7: Knit using MC Rows 8-16: Knit using CC Rows 17-25: Knit using MC Rows 26- 34: Knit using CC Decrease section....Worked in Mc. When decreases become too much for circulars switch to size7DPN's. Row 35 and all odd rows: Knit Row 36: \*ssk, k13, k2tog\* repeat t0 end (60 stitches) Row 38: \*ssk, k11, k2tog\* repeat to end (52 stitches) Row 40: \*ssk, k9, k2tog\* repeat to end (44 stitches) Row 42: \*ssk, k7, k2tog\* repeat to end (36 stitches) Row 44: \*ssk, k5, k2tog\* repeat t0 end (28 stitches) Row 46: \*ssk, k3, k2tog\* repeat to end (20 stitches) Row 48: \*ssk, k1, k2tog\* repeat to end (12 stitches) Row 50: \*k2tog\* repeat to end (6 stitches) Row 52: \*k2tog\* repeat to end (3 stitches) Break yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Weave in ends
