These gloves aren't as complicated as they look, all the colour work is done with a constant number of stitches. These are in two sizes, for those with slightly daintier hands and a more average size.

Snaeldan 2ply, 1x 100g ball in Charcoal (A) and 1x 50g ball in Viking gold (B) 3.25mm DPNs 4mm DPNs Scrap yarn/stitch holder Sewing up needle Sizes: To fit hand circumference 18 (20)cm If only one figure is given it applies to both sizes

Right Glove
Using 3.25mm needles and yarn B, cast on 40 (46) sts Join to work in round, placing marker to indicate beginning of round and being careful not to twist stitches. Change to yarn A Row 1: \*K1, P1; rep from \* to end Work 19 more rounds in rib as set Change to 4mm DPNs Next round: (K1, m1, K19(22)) twice 42 (48) sts. Knit 3 rounds \*\* Next round: K22(25), m1, K1, m1, K19(22). 44 (50) sts. Knit 3 rounds Next round: K22(25), m1, K3, m1, K19(22). 46 (52) sts. Knit 3 rounds Next round: K22(25), m1, K5, m1, K19(22). 48 (54) sts. Knit 3 rounds Next round: K22(25), m1, K7, m1, K19(22). 50 (56) sts. Knit 3 rounds
Thumb
K32, turn P11, turn Cast on 3sts at beg of next row, K11 (14sts) Join in the round and knit 13 (15) rounds Next round: K2 (K1, K2tog) four times. 10sts Knit one round Next round: (K2tog) five times. 5sts Cut yarn and thread through remaining stitches and fasten off.
Hand
Using yarn A, pick up and knit 3sts from cast on sts at base of thumb and knit to end of round. 42 (48) sts Joining in yarn B as necessary work round one of fair isle chart 7 (8) times to end of round. Continue working all rows of chart pattern asset. You will now work the rest of the glove in yarn B only.
First finger
K26, turn. Arrange the last 13sts on three DPNs and join to work in the round. Work 17 rounds straight K1 (K2tog, K1) four times (9sts) K1 (K2tog) four times (5sts) Break yarn and thread through remaining sts, fasten off.
Middle finger
Rejoin yarn at base of first finger, pick up and knit 2sts. K5 (6) turn P 11 (13) turn cast on 2sts. 13 (15) sts Join to work in the round, work 19 (21) rounds straight. 9 (11)sts K1 (K2tog) to end 5 (6)sts Break yarn and thread through remaining sts, fasten off.
Ring finger
Rejoin yarn at base of middle finger, pick up and knit 2sts. K5 (6) turn P 11 (13) turn cast on 2sts. 13 (15) sts Join to work in the round, work 17 (19) rounds straight. K1 (K2tog, K1) four times K0 (2) 9 (11)sts K1 (K2tog) to end 5 (6)sts Break yarn and thread through remaining sts, fasten off.
Pinky
Rejoin yarn at base of ring finger, pick up and knit 2sts. Arrange all remaining sts on DPNs and join to work in round 13 (15) sts Work 15 (17) rounds straight K1 (K2tog, K1) four times K0 (2) 9 (11)sts K1 (K2tog) to end 5 (6)sts Break yarn and thread through remaining sts, fasten off. Sew in all ends, sewing any holes closed at base of fingers. Block gently if required.
Left glove

K29, turn P11, turn Cast on 3sts at beg of next row, K11 (14sts) Join in the round and knit 13 rounds straight or until about 1cm from tip of thumb Next round: K2 (K1, K2tog) four times. 10sts Knit one round Next round: (K2tog) five times. 5sts Cut yarn and thread through remaining stitches and fasten off. Work Hand as given for right glove. Work all fingers as given for right glove. Sew in all ends, sewing any holes closed at base of fingers. Block gently if required.
