Phoebe Charming

I used to watched Charmed, and towards the final seasons, Phoebe would always wear these armwarmers that were clearly not knitted, but cool nonetheless. I knitted these, because and over the elbow armwarmer makes me feel a little magical and a little elegant. Kind of like Phoebe Gather this: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn (I used Stitchjones Blue Face Aran Worsted in Petrol) Size 8 DPNS or $12^{\prime\prime}$ Circular Needle Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Crochet hook to pick up dropped stitches Do this: Cast on 68 stitches. Place marker. Join to knit in the round. Careful with the twisting already. Round 1: Knit Rounds 2-5: K1, P 1 for a 1x1 rib Knit 10 rounds $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ decrease round: K5, k2tog to end of round (when you get to a k2tog, but don't have 5 more stitches, just knit to the end of the round) Knit 24 rounds $2^{\mathrm{nd}}$ decrease round -K4, k2tog to end of round (read what's in the parentheses above in the first decrease round. Same goes here) Knit in the round until right before your thumb. When you get to your thumb knit flat for 9 rows (or more or less depending on the size of your thumb Knit 2 more rounds. Do 2 rows of seed stitch (k1, p1 for one round, p1, k1 for the next). Bind off. Knit another one just like the first one. You are done. Variations: You can also skip the thumbhole, and just do straight sleeves, which is good. You could also do a thumb gusset. I don't quite get the gusset yet, so if you know how, then blessings to you.
