Cable cast on - use for casting on sts; it forms larger, looser loops. Use a slip knot as beginning st. Insert right hand needle into this st. Wrap yarn round needle as though to knit and pull a loop |
through without slipping the st off left hand needle. Place loop on left hand needle by inserting left hand needle into front of loop from right to left. Repeat until you have cast on |
requirednumberofsts. sl 1-k1-psso - slip 1, knit 1, pass slipped st over - insert the right-hand needle knitwise into the next st and slip it onto the right hand needle. |
Knit the next st. With tip of left- hand needle, lift slipped st over knitted st and off the needle. sl 2-k1-p2sso - slip 2, k1,pass 2 slipped sts over Work in the same way as above slipping 2 sts. |
yo-yarn over needle Bring theyarnforwardbetween the two needles. Working the next st will take the yarn over the right hand needle, making a stitch. Knitting Notes Circular needle: is used to accommodate the large |
number of stitches. Do not work in rounds but use theneedleasnormal, turningaftereveryrow. Casting on:use the cable cast on method to cast on very loosely, inserting needle into the stitch instead of between stitches. This forms a looser edge. |
