Gauge 0 sts og 24 rows in st st on 4,5 mm/US 7 needle with cascade 220. = 10 x 10 cm/4 x4 inch Method Hat is worked in the round. Hat Cast on 80 (96) 112 sts on a 3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle. Join to work in the round and make rib: p2, k2 through row. Work the rib for 6 (7) 8 rounds. Switch to 4.5 mm/US 7 circular needle and knit the next round: \*p2, k2, p2, k3, M1, k4, M1, k3\* Repeat from \*to\* through row. Now there are 90 (108) 126 sts on the needle. In the next round follow the pattern which is repeated 5 (6) 7 times in each row. Repeat pattern until you have reached 6 (7) 8 big cables, than start decrease. If you want to have the hat longer, add 6 rows, or one big cable before the decrease begins. When you have finished the pattern there are 12 (15) 18 sts on the needle. Brake the yarn.

Finishing

Thread yarn tail through the remaining stitches and pulltightly to close the top of your hat. Weave in ends. Handwash in lukewarm water (30°℃ / 86°F). Dry flat, smooth the garment out and pull gently into shape.
