Gauge: 24 sts / 4 inches and 28 rows / 4 inches Size: circumference 50 cm, fitting head size 52 - 56 cm Yarn suggestion: Dalegarn Falk (sport) Needles: Circular needles: US 212 / 3.0 mm and US 4 / 3.5 mm, dpn's US 4/ 3.5 mm Colours: Red, black, yellow dpn doublepointed needle kknit ktbl knit through back of loop k2tog () knit two together m1 make one stitch ppurl slip 1 stitch, k2tog, pass slipped stitch over ssk () slip 2 stitches as if to knit, then return to left needle and knit together through back loops rem remaining st(s) stitch(es) With black yarn, cast on 96 sts on smaller needles. Work in the round, making sure not to twist work. Ribbing: p 3, k 1 tbl, for 6 rounds. Cut yarn. Change to larger needles. Next round, with yellow yarn: k 4, m 1 (= 120 sts). This is the first round of chart A. Continue according to chart with red and yellow. (The chart is worked once.) Cut yellow yarn. With black yarn, decrease as follows on next round: k 10, k2tog (= 110 sts). Then work according to chart B (this chart is worked twice). Grey square means no stitch. Change to dpns when rounds are too small for circular needles. Finishing: Move the first and last 18 sts onto one dpn each, and graft the hat together (Kitchener stitch) using black yarn. Weave in ends. Wash, block if needed. Wear!!
