Co 96 sts with blue yarn. Join in the round and work ribbing k2, p 2 for two rounds. Change to golden: k one round, next round k2, p2. Change to red. The rest of the hat is worked in stockinette stitch. On the first round, increase 32 sts: \*k3, m1\* repeat from \*-\* (= 128 sts). Then work in stranded pattern according to chart. Chart is worked twice. There are some long floats in this pattern. Since it's a hat (and not a glove) long floats don't matter that much, but it's easier to keep the tension if you make the floats not longer than 7-8 sts.
