Tail
Using 3 strands of yarn (yellow or brown or combination of both colours) and 4mm hook, make a short chain (around 5-7 ch) and fasten off.
Making up
Sew legs to body, spacing them out so the giraffe can stand up. Sew neck to body and sew the horns and ears to head. Sew tail to rear of body (use all 3 strands separately to sew the tail on, making it extra secure), then fray the yarn at the loose end of the tail (trim to make it even if necessary). Use brown yarn to crochet circles of different sizes (see below for suggestions) and sew these to the giraffe's body (alternatively, you could sew on patches of brown felt). Each giraffe (of the real animal variety) has unique markings, in the same way that humans have unique fingerprints. So give your amigurumi giraffe as many or few brown patches as you like - here are some examples of sizes you could make: 1: As for the giraffe's ears - 6 sc circle. 2: As for R1 of the horns - 4 sc circle. 3: 6 sc in R1, 12 sc in R2. 4: 4 sc in R1, 8 sc in R2.
