Materials:

2 skeins of Color A (Grey #8): Ella Rae Lace Merino. 100g/470 yds. 100% extra fine merino 1 Skein of Color B (Highlighter Yellow): Dyeabolical Strong Arm Skinny Sock. 100g/400 yds. 80% superwash merino/20% nylon. Gauge: 7 single crochet/8 rows to 1 inch after blocking 1 Crochet hook: US size F/3.75mm

Magiccircle Single crochet Elongated Single Crochet (Esc): To make elongated single crochet stitch insert hook into next sc three rows below. It will be as if you are working thru the back loop of the last color A row.

START (using color A):

Starting with a magic circle, 5 sc in the circle. Chain 1, turn. Row l: 2sc into each sc (10 stitches), ch1, turn Row 2: 2sc into 1st sc. Sc in next 2 sc. 2sc in next sc. Sc to last 4sts and 2sc into next sc. Sc in next 2 sc. 2sc in last sc. Ch1, turn. Repeat last row until you have 95 rows done. You should end with 382 sts. Do not cut yarn.

COLOR STRIPE SECTION

Rows 96 - 97: attach color B and repeat row 2. Do not cut yarn. Rows 98 - 99: Pick up color A and repeat row 2. Do not cut yarn. Rows 100-115: Repeat last 4 rows 4 more times. 5 stripes total. Cut yarn.

ELONGATEDSTITCHSECTION

Rows 116 - 118: In color B, repeat row 2. [474 stitches] Row 119: In color A, join yarn and 2sc into 1st sc, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next sc. Work elongated sc (Elsc) in first sc of three rows below, sc in next 3 sts, work Elsc in in the inc space of 3 rows below. \*Sc in next 3 sc, work Elsc in next sc\*. Repeat from \* to \* across to the last 7 stitches. Sc in next 3 sts. 2sc in next SC, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in last sc. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 120-122: In color B, join yarn, and Repeat row 116-118. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 123: In color A, join yarn and 2 sc into 1st sc. Sc in next 2 sc. 2 sc in next sc. Sc in next sc. Work Elsc in 2nd sc from beg of the row of three rows below. \*Sc in next 3 sc, work Elsc in next sc\* Repeat from \* to \* across to the last 4, stitches. 2sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in last st. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. NOTE: The Elsc should land between the Elsc of the ones before. Row 124-126: In color B, join yarn, and Repeat row 116-118. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 127: 2sc into 1st sc. Sc in next 2 sts. 2 sc in next sc. Sc in next 3 sc. Work Elsc in 3rd sc from beg of the row of three rows below. \*Sc in next 3 sc, work Elsc in next sc\* Repeat from \* to \* across to the last 4 stitches. 2sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in last st. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 128 - 130: In color B, join yarn, and Repeat row 116-118. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 131: In color A, Repeat row 1l9. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 132 - 134: In color B, join yarn, and Repeat row 116-118. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Row 135: Repeat row 123. Ch1, turn. Cut yarn. Weave in tails. Block aggressively so the long end is straight and use blocking wires in the curved edge to prevent a wavy edge. Wear and enjoy!
