BBF $=$ Babies Best Friend

The idea:
Many Babies find themselves a comfort item like a blanket or a stuffed toy, this little blanket is created for the purpose of keeping the little ones feeling like they bring the safety of home with them when they are “on the road".
The Yarn:
Youll need aprox 50 grams of Wendy Velvet Touch (or similar yarn 50 grams $\equiv$ 105meters). faaniaavwil it larger.
The Needles:
4mm straight or circular needles to knit the blanket. 4mm double point needles to knit the head and ears.
You'll also need:
1 marker or scrap of yarn Scissors Stuffing Yarn Needle Theblanket: co.70 stitches on 4mm circular/straight needles. Row1-4knit Row 5: bind off first 15 st, knit to end. $(=\!55s t)$ Row 6: Bind off first 15 st, knit to end. $(=\!40s t)$ Knit the remaining 40 stitches till A is the same length as B (see photo)

Bind offall stitches. Make sure you don't bind off to tight, that will make the blanket curl up.
The head and ears:
Choiceschoices.. $\circledcirc$ It's up to you if you want to pick up stitches from the middle of the blanket, or knit the head separately and then sew it back on after it's done. If you decide to pick up stitches remember to pick them up in a circle and not a straight line. Using 4mm needles pick up/count 8 stitches, divided on 4 needles (2 st on every needle), join in the round.

Place marker or scrap yarn to mark the beginning of the round. Round 1: k1,m1, k2, m1, k2, m1, k1 (=12 st $=$ 3st on every needle) Round 2: Knit all st Round 3: k1, m1, k1, m1, k1 -repeat on remaining 3 needles $(=\!\!20s t)$ Round 4: knit Round 5: k1, m1, k3, m1, k1 -repeat on remaining 3 needles $(=\!28s t)$ Round 6-16: Knit Round 17: ssk, knit 10, knit2tog -repeat once more Round 18: ssk, knit 8, knittog Round 19: ssk, knit 6, knit2tog Now we start the ears.. Holding the $\jmath^{s t}$ and $4^{t h}$ needle parallel you knit through stitches onboth needles. For nowforget about needle 2 &3.

Row 20: Knit though 1 stitch from needle 1 and 1 stitch of needle 4 thereby reducing the number of stitches on the 2 needles to 4. Row 21: k1, m1, k2, m1, k1 Row 22: k1, m1, k4, m1, k1 Row 23: k1, m1, k6, m1, k1 Row 24-28: knit Row 29: ssk, k6, knit2tog Row 30: knit Row 31: ssk, k4, knit2tog Row 32: knit Row 33: ssk, k2, knit2tog Row 34: knit Row 35: ssk, knit2tog Row 36: knit Row 37: knit2tog, break yarn, pulloop. Repeat row 20 - 37 on needle 2&3 for the $2^{n d}$ ear. Fill the head, Sew on a face, weave in ends... ...And there you go, your BBF is done! Now -where's the baby? Tips: If your child uses a Pacifier/Dummy/Soother you can fasten the pacifier to the blanket while making the knot on the ends. Alternatively you can make a butonhole when starting the blanket like this: co.70 stitches on 4mm circular/straight needles. row 1: knit row 2: knit till5 stitches remains, knit2tog, yo, knit 3 row 3-4: knit till end row 5: bind off first 15 st, knit to end. $(=\!55s t)$ row 6: Bind off first 15 st, knit to end. $(=\!40s t)$ Continue with pattern as written in The Blanket when done you can attach a button and easily remove the pacifie if necessary.
