Make Piece of Felt
With size 4 needles knit a rectangle in stockinette stitch with color B approximately 3" by 4". This piece is to be felted as you would any other felted project. This is done by throwing it in the washing machine with a load of hot laundry. If stitches don't appear tight and fuzzy afterward, you may need to wash it a secondtime. Cut two identical shapes out of the felted piece (the stitches won't unravel once it has been felted). These can be ducks, snowmen, rabbits, or anything that doesn't have too much detail. The fabric can be cut wet or dry. Embellish if desired, and sew to mitten with same color thread.
