Material

About 380 m 4-ply sock yarn, or 90 g , circular needle 3,5-4,5 mm. Stitch markers are very helpful to use

Directions:

Cast-on 3 sts, work 6 rows in garter stitch. Pick up 3 sts from the garter stitch ridges on the sides, and 3 sts from the cast-on edge (9 sts in total) First row (WS): k3, yo, p3, yo, k3

: p the 5 sts together that you made with the nupp on the row below
>3<: k3tog, leave sts on left needle, yo, k1 from 3 sts again (makes 3 from 3, and a pleasant star shape)

Part A

Row 1: k3, pm, yo, k2, yo,k1 (this is the center st, it's best to mark it with a safety pin), yo, k2, yo, pm, k3 w 2 every wrong side row that follows:k3, yo, p until last 3 sts, yo, k Rows 3, 5, 7 and 9: k3, sm, yo, k to center st, yo, k center st, yo, k to marker, yo, sm, k3 (41 sts ir total after finishing row 10) After completing row 10 work rowa 11 to 104 according to the charted pattern. Place markers at where the bold black lines indicate, repeat the pattern in the red boxes if needed. The patern is modular, so you could repeat any of the parts more than once if you wish. That would use more yarn, though. After completing row 104 bind off with yarn held double as follows: \*p2tog, place resulting st back on the left needle\* repeat to the end of row. Weave in ends and block.
