a cabled scarf by Nicole Whitis Strobush
I designed this scarf as an anniversary gift for my husband. Knitted insoft cotton, the traditional giftfor the secondyear of marriage, it has plenty of texture for beauty and warmth.
materials and notes
approximately 260-300 yards of worsted to aran weight yarn a tapestry needlle straight or circularneedles the pictured scarf is knit in blue sky alpacas dyed cotton. imbued fibers thistledown aran is a good wool option. the sample was knit on size 9 needles; gauge is not crucial.
