Costruzione
Carciofo é un cappello a maglia lavorato in tondo e costruito bottom-up: parte da un bordo a coste doppie, prosegue con un semplice punto operato fatto di gettati e diminuzioni singole, e si chiude sulla corona dopo 2 giri di diminuzioni. Lavorato in un filato bulky, si esegue in una serata. Per eseguirlo, é necessario saper lavorare in tondo, montare le maglie (e consigliato l'avvio alternato, ma puo essere sostituito con un altro avvio, purche elastico), conoscere drittto, rovescio, gettato e diminuzioni semplici. Filato Borgo de'Pazzi, Dégradé, 200 gr/120 mt, 100% lana, 1 matassa, colore deg0. Ferri Circolare da 40 cm, punte da 8 e 10 mm, un set di 5 ferri a doppie punte da 10 mm.

i ferri da 8 mm, 6 m a coste 2x2 per 14 g = 11 cm orizzontale x 10 cm vertica. Punti, tecniche impiegate, abbreviazioni dritto (dir); gettato (get); giro/i (g); rovescio (rov); 2 dritti insieme (2dir ins); 2 rovesci insieme (2rov ins).
ISTRUZIONI
Avvio: con l'avvio alternato (cabled cast-on) o con un avvio a piacere e i ferri da 8 mm, montate 28 (32) maglie e giuntate il lavoro per lavorare in tondo, mettendo un marcapunti per segnare l'inizio del g. 1-6 g: \*2 dir, 2 rov\*; rip da \* a \* fino alla fine del g. 7 g: \*2dir ins, 1 gett, 2rov ins, 1 gett\*; rip da \* a \* fino alla fine del g; (28, 32 m). Con i ferri da 10 mm, lavorate ora come segue: 8 g: tutto a dir. 9 g: \*2dir ins, 1 gett\*; rip da \* a \* fino alla fine del g. 10- 17 (21) g: rip i g 8-9. 18 (22) g: rip il g 8. 19 (23) g: 2dir ins per tutto il g; (14, 16 m). Spostate le maglie sul set di ferri a doppie punte. 20 (24) g: rip il g 9. 21 (25) g: rip g 8. 22 (26) g: 2dir ins per tutto il g; (7, 8 m). Tagliate il filo e passatelo nelle 7 (8) m, tirando per chiudere il cappello. Fermate bene le code.

Construction notes
Carciofo is worked in the round, bottom-up, using a bulky yarn. The brim is worked in 2x2 rib stitch, the body of the hat is worked in a simple openwork stitch. To knit Carciofo, you must know how to work in the round, cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, knit 2 together, purl 2 together. Yarn
Borgo de'Pazzi, Dégrade, 200 gr/120 mt 100% wool, 1 hank, color deg0.
Needles
Circular needle 40 cm long, 8 and 10 mm tips, one set of 10 mm 5 dpns.
Gauge
With 8 mm needles, 6 sts in 2x2 ribbing in 14 rnds = 11 cm horizontal x 10 cm vertical.
Stitches and abbreviations
knit (k); knit 2 together (k2tog); purl (p); purl 2 together (p2tog); repeat (rep); round (rnd); stitches (sts); yarn over (yo).
INSTRUCTIONS
Start: with 8 mm needles, cable cast-on (28) 32 stitches. Join to work in the round. Place a marker at the beginning of the round. 1-6 rnd: \*k 2, p 2\*; rep from \* to \* till the end of the rnd. 7 rnd: \*k2tog, yo, p2tog, yo\*; rep from \* to \* till the end of the rnd; (28, 32 sts). Change to 10 mm tips: 8 rnd: k. 9 rnd: \*k2tog, yo\*; rep from \* to \* till the end of the rnd. 10- 17 (21) rnds: rep rounds 8-9. 18 (22) rnd: rep rnd 8. 19 (23) rnd: k2tog; (14, 16 sts). Move sts to the dpns. 20 (24) rnd: rep rnd 9. 21 (25) rnd: rep rnd 8. 22 (26) rnd: k2tog; (7, 8 sts). Cut the yarn and weave it into the 7 (8) remaining sts, pulling the yarn to close the hole. Weave the yarn some more times to close the hole firmly.
