Merino Textura: 1—100g skein EACH of 2 colors, we used color 5 Orange Shadow and 13 Steel Shadow Gauge: 16 sts and 32 rows = 4" in Mock Rib after blocking Needles/Notions: US size 9 (5.5mm) 24" circular needle, 1 st marker (m) ing the Mock Rib gauge swatch, each knit stitch that you see counts as 2

Special Abbreviation sl 1 yo = lay the yarn under the needle to the front of the work, sl the next st purlwise, then lay the yarn back over the top of the needle and over the sl st to the back. Mock Rib worked flat (Multiple of 4 sts + 2) Setup Row (RS): P2, \*p2, (sl 1 yo)twice, rep from \* to end. Row 1 (WS): K2, \*(sl 1 yo)twice, (k2tog)twice; rep from \* to last 4 sts, (sl 1 yo)twice, k2 Row 2: P2, (p2tog)twice, \*(sl 1 yo)twice, (p2tog)twice; rep from \* to last 2 sts, p2. Begin
With Orange Shadow, CO 38 sts. Work Mock Rib worked flat for 34", end having worked row 2. Next Row (WS): K2, \*k2, (k2tog)twice; Rep from \* to last 2 sts, k4. BO all sts on next row in p. Sew the CO and BO edges together to form a loop.
Edging
(The edging draws in the cowl slightly.) With RS facing and Steel Shadow, pick up evenly and k 112 sts along the side edge. Join in the rnd and pm. Work Mock Rib worked in the round for 30 rnds. Next Rnd: \*(K2tog)twice, k2; rep from \* around. BO all sts in k on next rnd loosely.
Finishing
