Handmade Colorado State Flag Inspired Ski Hat Pattern with Duplicate Stitch Tutorial and Knitting Instructions

Colorado Ski Hat

For her birthday, my sister asked for a hat based on the Colorado state flag. This is what I ended up with. The bottom is meant to be rolled up to make the fit more flexible. The hat is worked in two colors, the blue with the white stripe, and the C is added with duplicate stitch.

Materials:

· 1 skein Caron Simply Soft White 9701 · 1 skein Caron Simply Soft Eco Ocean Mist · Small amount of red and yellow for duplicate stitch · Size Us8 (5 mm) double pointed or circular needles · Tapestry needle for duplicate stitch

"C" Pattern:

· Using red and yellow yarn on tapestry needle, add the C pattern onto the hat using duplicate stitch following the chart. (Since the hat is the same on all sides, it doesn't really matter where you put the C as long as it's aligned right vertically.)
