Materials used: Loops & Threads Cozy Wool (50% wool, 50% acrylic) 90 yards (MC) 2 balls - color: stone (gray-blue) (CC) 1 ball - color: black Needles: straight needles size US 11, tapestry needle for weaving in ends Finished measurements: approximately 40 inches long before seaming, and 10 inches wide Gauge: 10 sts = 4” in seed stitch
Stitch abbreviations:
k knit p purl sts stitches seed stitch: each row: k1, p1 across, ending k1
Instructions:
1. With CC, cast on 25 stitches. (for experienced knitters, you may use provisional cast on and graft later) 2. Work in seed stitch until piece measures about 3” from cast on edge. 3. Work 1s 10 sts in CC; join MC and work remaining 15 sts on row. 4. Keeping 10 sts in CC and 15 sts in MC, work in seed stitch until piece measures about 14” from cast on edge. 5. End off CC and work entire 25 sts in MC, until piece measures about 40" from cast on edge. 6. Unless you are grafting stitches, bind off in seed stitch. Make /2 twist in piece, widthwise. Seam or graft ends together, matching corners marked “A"” together and corners marked “B" together.
