I created this shawl during a vacation in Paris with my family. Thanks to Azzuka's suggestion - http://azzuknits.blogspot.com - I visited La Droguerie and fell in love with all the yarns I saw. I didn't bring any projects or needles with me, so I bought the beautiful alpaca in the first picture and bamboo needles. I started knitting this project during the evenings when the girls slept. To test the pattern I used another beautiful yarn (hand-dyed by ChiliGredelin) to see how the design changed depending on the yarn and the length of the scarf. The finished size of the first one is $45\times135\;\mathrm{cm}$ , while the second one is $45\times105~\mathsf{c m}$

Requirements:
Yarn: any type of yarn can be used for this type of scarf or shawl For the first one I used Alpaga by La Droguerie, $100\%$ Alpaca, 100 grams - 310 meters (3,53 ounces - 339 yards), 1 skein For the second one I used Jacqueline Sock by Chili Gredelin , $80\%$ merino, $20\%$ nylon. 100 grams - (3,53 ozs -) 1 skein Needles: depending on the type of yarn used For both shawls I used size 4 mm (6 USA) Pattern: it can be modified in its width by adding or not repetitions. For the two shawls shown in the pictures: ■Cast on 70 sts ■Knit the next 9 rows ■Row 10 -k 5, PM, k5. k2t, yo, (k10, k2t, yo) for 4 times, k5, PM, k5 ■Row 11 (and all odd rows) - k5, purl to last 5 stitches, k5 ■Row 12 - knit all stitches ■Row 14 - k12, k2t, yo, (k10, k2t, yo) for 4 times, k8 ■Row 16 - knit all stitches ■Row 18 - k 10, k2t, yo, (k10, k2t, yo) for 4 times, k10 ■Row 20- knit all stitches ■Row 22 -k 8, k2t, yo, (k10, k2t, yo) for 4 times, k12 Row 24- knit all stitches

Repeat rows 10-25 up to the desired length. The last repeat ends with row 18. Knit 9 rows before closing up the work. Weave in all ends. You might choose to wash it and pin it or you can just leave it more bulky and weavy. For the first shawl I made 15 repetitions and for the second one 13 repetitions.

You can also choose to add buttons to the shawl (you will use the lace pattern as buttonholes - Azzuka's idea $\circledast$ ) or you can use a pin to close the scarf in the front or on the shoulder.
