ALCHEMY YARNSOFTRANSFORATIOH:
TALL BUILDINGS SCARF Design by Gina Wilde for Alchemy Yarns of Transformation

Sometimes the best things in life are wonderfully simple. So goes Alchemy's Tall Building scarf, knit from the fabulous Tweedy yarn. An elegant twist on a most basic stitch creates the glorious texture of this delightful scarf, in an easy-to-memorize stitch pattern. Simple ribbing is knit in the center of the scarf, which makes the scarf lay gracefully against the neck. Light as a feather, yet warm and practical, this little scarf will become an essential part of your life!

FINISHING
Weave in ends. Fill a sink with cold water, and add a little quality liquid laundry detergent, as well as a tablespoon of fabric softener (the softener plays two roles: first, it checks any potential color bleed in the yarn; second, it helps soften the silk yarns to their maximum drapey potential). Let the work soak, undisturbed for approximately an hour, allowing the water to fully penetrate and relax the yarn. Rinse carefully, being careful not to agitate the yarn. Remove from sink, carefully squeeze out excess water, and then roll the garment in a towel to further remove moisture. Lay the garment flat on a towel, and ease it to desired dimensions. There is no need to pin the work. Allow to dry. When garment is fully dry, use a steam iron on the WS of the work, never dragging or pulling the iron; rather, lift it and press gently with steam, pressing a small section at a time, until full garment has been fully steam blocked.
