Muji Painting Inspired Summer Snood Knitting Pattern by Lies Vandesande, A Simple yet Ample Lace Design

Pattern illustration

Muji painting \~ !was inspired by the gauzey linen print Muji painting', by Naomi Ito for the Nani Iro 2011 fabric collection and by the colourway 'Calligraphy' in the Madelinetosh yarn range. I needed a simple but ample summer snood. The materials used are : 1 skein of Madelinetosh Lace (950 yrds) or any light and smooth lace alternative (silk, linen, bamboo...) and 4mm needles (straight or circular) Made This is how I made it : provisional cast on 160 stitches, work scarf back and forth in stockingstitch until yarn is almost used up, connect the snood-loop by grafting the 160 end stitches with the provisional ones, using Kitchener stitch. Wet-block gently to even the stitches out. Knitting this is not difficult, it just requires some tenacity as the fine stockingstitching goes on for nearly ever... @ Muji painting, pattern by Lies Vandesande, @ 2011, allrights reserved, for personal use only.
