Love Slipr'z by Aweme Designs
A new love for cables and intarsia mixes the two together, in LOVE SLIPR'Z. Not many people have the "ocD" factor it takes to complete this task. This is all about PROCESS and enjoying the knitting. It is time consuming and for some... frustrating, but look at the beautiful puffy cables. They are even more awesome in reality!! Experimenting with colors is what it's all about. The design is created for an advanced knitter, although discriminating beginners may find it worth the challenge. (This pattern and instructions, assumes a basic Toe-UP sock construction along with a gusset and heel turn have already been learned, as these preferences vary byknitter.) 4 Yarn Colors are needed. 1 base color and the 3 cable colors, is what I used. (lf you wanted to make every "snake" a different color- then you would need 6 different colors on bobbins. It's your project!!) My base color was: Red Heart Super Saver / Windsor Blue (color:0380) / 1 skein (you will have left overs) 3 LG Bobbins PER SOCK: I used: Homespun (1)Grey & (2)Pink along with (3)DK weight of rainbow. Fill the bobbin with the color of your choice, this will be plenty ofyardage. Needles Used: us7-4.5mm / 50" Circular Needle (I like a lot of room to slide ) 2 DPN: us7-4.5mm (for making iCords) 1 Cable Needle (or Learn the "No-Cable Needle" method) Gauge for Worsted Wt: 9 st per 2" Width / 12 st per 2" Height

Tip for 2-at-a-time Magic Loop users: Please look for the.. ..symbol on the chart and read the directions slowly if you have never moved cables from front to back using

TIP: The color 'blue' on the chart is the same color of what will become the HEART after the cables are crossed on the toe tip.
Finishing:
Toe-Tip, Yarn # 2, you can now create your heart by crossing them and inserting the tail of the icord near to the center of the cable. This produces a "heart" shape. Tack down from inside, to keep "heart" shape. Take icord of Yarn # 3 and loop it through the heart anyway that looks good to you, then insert tail of icord and turn inside out and tuck in tails. Yarn # 1 - is tied into a bow ( - symbol) from the 6" icord created below the ribbing section. (in the photo's- my bow is a different color, as Iran out of the pink near the top- but it still looks good!)
