Boy's Geuntlets
Yarn Description: 2 skeins Lion Brand Wool-Ease (80% acrylic/20% wool) 4-ply worsted weight Sample in pattern used 2 Navy #111 Lot. No. 24048 (each skein = 3oz/85grams/197yds/180m) Knifty Knitter Loom: Blue loom (24 pegs; 5/sin gauge) Other Materials Needed: Loom hook ■Sz K(10.5)/6.5mm crochet hook Plastic tapestry needle sequins of choice sewing needle sewing thread (matching color of sequins) Gauge: Not required for this project Note:Read ALL these instructions thoroughly BEFORE starting to knit. Either the flat knit or e-wrap knit stitch may be used whenever a K stitch is required; same with P stitch. Just ensure to continue using same style of stitch all the way through. Two strands of yarn are used nultaneously throughout. Right and left-hand shaping is provided in instructions

Stitches/Techniques Used:
Chain CO: Using crochet hook, make a slip knot and place on 1" peg. Keeping working yarn to outside of pegs, hook and draw yarn through forming 1" loop. \*Place crochet hook w/loop behind next peg, yo and pull yarn through loop\*; rep \* \* around to last peg (Ensure to crochet chains loosely; tight loops can cause latch tool, loom, & personal damage.) Place rem loop on hook over 1" peg. Garter Stitch: Knit one row, then purl next row. Repeat for pattern. Twisted Stockinette (e-wrap) Stitch: wrap yarn around each peg forming a cursive letter “e” (ensure working yarn is to the inside of loom—-behind pegs) - can be completed to the right or to the left Increasing: At end of each round, wrap next empty peg in a figure-8 pattern. Pull yarn fairly snug and then begin next row. Continue until all increases have been made. Crochet Bind off: Using crochet hook, pick up loop last completed loop and place on crochet hook. \*Place next peg's loop on hook; yo and pull yarn through\*; rep \* \* around until all peg loops have been bound off. Cut yarn, leaving 6in tail; pull last loop completely through; then weave in end to secure. Trim any rem yarn ends flush.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Band:
Chain CO 16 pegs. 1. Work 12 R in GS, ending with P row.
Body:
1. Using TwS (e-wrap), K 6 R even. (16sts) 2.\*K 1 R and inc 1 st at end of row\*; rep \* \* total of 7 times to 23sts. 3.Work 1 R even. (23sts) 4. LH shaping. a. K 1 R, leaving last 3 pegs unworked. Turn. (20sts) b.K 4 R even, (20sts) c. K 1 R across to include last 3 unworked pegs. (This closes hole created for thumb.) (23sts) d._ K 5 R even. (23sts) 5. RH shaping. a. E-wrap 1" 3 pegs; do not knit off. Loops will be KO as 2-over-1, when placed back in work later. b. K rem pegs on R; turn. (20sts) c.K 4 R even, (20sts) d.K 1 R across to include last 3 unworked pegs. (This closes hole created for thumb.) (23sts) e.K 5 R even. (23sts)
Finishing:
1. Using crochet hook, work Cr BO technique to remove gauntlet from pegs, working evenly and semi loosely. 2.Cut yarn, leaving a 26in tail. 3. Using tapestry needle, work mattress/invisible/kitchner stitch to sew seam. 4.Weave in all loose ends to secure. Trim yarn ends flush. 5.Wash, shape and lay flat to dry. 6. Using sewing needle, sew on decorative sequins using matching thread across front side of gauntlet.
