Garter Stitch: Knit all stitches, every row. Copyright @ 2010 by Denise A. Daniel. All rights reserved. Small Arrow Pattern: This pattern stitch is the Small Arrow Pattern from Barbara Walker's A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns page 274. I have modified the wording slightly in hopes of making it clearer and I have produced a chart to help those of you who prefer charts. However, the charting of this pattern does not match the written word well with respect to repeats due to the balancing of the pattern that takes place to make it flat. Both work, but the repeats are not in the same place. Therefore, I'd suggest following one or the other, not both. Row 1: (wrong side) and all other wrong side rows - Purl all stitches. Row 2: K3, \* yo, ssk, k4; rep from \* to last 4 sts, then yo, ssk, k2. Row 3: See Row 1. Row 4: K1, \* k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, kl; rep from \* to end of row. Row 5: See Row 1. Row 6: K2tog, yo, \* k3, yo, s1-k2tog-psso, yo; rep from \* to last 5 sts, then k3, yo, ssk. Row 7: See Row 1. Row 8: K1, \* yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, kl; rep from \* to end of row. Row 9: See Row 1. Row10: See Row 8. Repeat Rows 1-10. Chart of Small Arrow Pattern: The Repeat is between the two blue lines
