The giant wraps and lace add interest & texture and the piece is reversible for a totally different look: BOBBLES. The pattern creates the lovely scalloped edge and there is no finishing required. The cowl is larger at the bottom and tapered at the neck edge. One size: 10.5 in at the top and 13 inch at the bottom 12 in in height With 7mm needles, CO 108 stitches and join in the round. Insert markers: one at beginning of row and different color ones every 12 stitches. Repeat the following wrap pattern rows 1 to 12 three (3 times). Wrap pattern: R1: \*YO, K4, SK2TP, K4, YO, K1\* repeat to end R2: Knit (knit ito front loop of YO to create a lace pattern) R3: \*K1, YO, K3, SK2TP, K3 YO, K2\* repeat to end R4: Knit R5: \* K2, YO, SL1 purlwise, wyib, insert needle between the 6th and 7th stitch and pull a long loop, K1, SK2TP, K2, YO, K3\* repeat to end R6: Knit, knitting together the slip stitch and the loop R7: \*K4, YO, K1, YO, K4, SK2TP\* repeat to end R8: Knit R9: \*K3, YO, K3, YO, K3, SK2TP\* repeat to end R10: Knit R11: K2, YO, K5, YO, SL1 purlwise, wyib, insert needle between the 6th and 7th stitch and pull a long loop K1, SK2TP R12: Knit, knitting together the slip stitch and the loop Then knit wrap patterns rows 1 to 4.
