Materals
· 2 skeins of The Plucky Knitter's "Plucky Trusty" yarn - one each of main color (MC) and contrast color (CC) · US #2 (2.75mm) needles for knitting in the round, or size needed to obtain gauge DPNs; a single 32", or longer, circular needle for magic loop; or two circular needles. (DPNs recommended for sleeves.) · 5 stitch markers - one for start of the round, and 4 others for the shoulder increases · Waste yarn · Tapestry needle Gauge
Diuretions
TURTLENECK:
Using MC, cast on 36 stitches. Place a marker and join to knit in the round. Work 2x2 rib for 3.5 inches SHOULDER AND CHEST: Setup Round: K2, pm, K14, pm, k4, pm, K14, pm, K2 Change to CC. Round 1: K1, Kfb, sm, Kfb, K12, Kfb, sm, Kfb, k2, Kfb, sm, Kfb, K12, Kfb, sm, Kfb, K1 Round 2: Knit Work 10 more rounds as established in Rounds 1 and 2, increasing 8 stitches total every other round - one stitch before and after each of the shoulder markers. End with a knit round. 84 stitches.
ARM SEPARATION:
BODY:
Decrease Round: K1, K2tog, [K2, K2tog] 3 times, K1 (12 sts remain) K to the second marker, and remove it. Place the next 16 sts on waste yarn for sleeve. Remove third marker. K to the next marker, and remove it. Place the last 8 and first 8 stitches in the round on waste yarn together for the second sleeve, removing markers.
SLEEVES:
Transfer 16 sleeve sts from waste yarn onto needle(s). Reattach CC yarn, as needed, and knit 8 rounds in St st. Work 1x1 rib for 3 rounds. Bind off in rib. Repeat for second sleeve. FINISHING: Weave in ends. 6.25 sts per inch/2.5 cm in Stockinette stitch
