Cable pattern
4/4 RC (right cross of 4 sts over 4 sts) Slip next 4 sts onto a cable needle and leave at the back of your work, k4 from your left needle, then k the 4 sts from the cableneedle. 4/4 LC (left cross of 4 sts over 4 sts) Slip next 4 sts onto a cable needle and leave at the front of your work, k4 from your left needle, then k the 4 sts from the cableneedle.

Using long tail method, cast on 58 sts. Begin with two plain knit rows. Odd rows 1-13 (not row 9): k2, \*p2, [k1p1] x4, p2, k2 rpt from \* three more times Row 9: k2, p2, 4/4 RC, p2, k2, p2, 4/4 LC, p2, k2, p2, 4/4 RC, p2, k2, p2, 4/4 LC, p2,k2 Even rows 2-14: k4, \*[k1p1] x4, k6, rpt from \* two more times, [k1p1] x4, k4 Rpt rows 1-14 nine more times. Rpt rows 1-13, then add large buttonholes in row 14, thus: Row 14: k4, \*[k1, p1, k2tog, yo x2, ssk, k1, p1], k6, rpt \*[rib with buttonhole], k6, rpt \*[rib with buttonhole], k4 In the following row, you must p the first yo you come to, and k the second, thus: Row 15: k2, \*p2, k1, p1, k2, p2, k1, p1, p2, k2 rpt from \* three more times Row 16: k4, \*[k1p1] x4, k6, rpt from \* two more times, [k1p1] x4, k4 Rows 17-18: End with two plain knit rows, then bind off. Stitch sides together, leaving pocket opening for cushion insert. Stuff with 41cm x 41cm (16x16") polyester filled pad. Stitch on four buttons to coincide with the holes you made. Cuddle your cushion.
