Designed by Michaela Leonard http://1870pearl.typepad.com/ The original pair of socks was knitted toe up as the picture demonstrates. However, I wrote this pattern for a cuff down sock as it is the preferred method by most sock knitters. You may of course knit them from the toe up if you wish. Simply knit the toe style of your choice increasing to a total of 48 stitches and begin the Bar stitch pattern. Add a short row heel and finish it with a Tubular bind off. The socks are sized to fit a small or medium foot. To enlarge the pattern either increase the number of knit stitches between the Bar pattern or add an additional pattern repeat then adjust the pattern accordingly. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*
