Pockets &Baby a lovable monster duo
by Bonnie Jacobs
Mischievous, fun and oh so lovable with super big hearts, monsters give strength, hope, love and that all important hug. They are also a great way to use up scraps and small skeins in your stash. Please consider donating your monster to someone in need. Help comfort a person suffering from chronic health, depression, abuse, homelessness & other tough times. I make, collect & deliver monsters to homeless children & those in need. If you would like to donate a monster please contact me.

MATERIALS
200 yards for main colour (MC) 100 yards for contrasting colour (arms/legs) (CC1) 80 yards for contrasting colour (ears) (CC2) 20-50 yards each white & black yarn Yarn colour breakdowns are just suggestions as you can use any colour combinations you like. Circular needle or DPNs (Use a needle 3 sizes smaller than recommended for the yarn) Poly Fil (or hypo allergenic stuffing) Tapestryneedle Stitch Markers
STITCHES:
Kfb: Knit into the front then the back of the same stitch K2tog: Knit 2 stitches together PM: Place Marker TIPS Needle Selection: Pick a needle that will create a dense knit but not so tight that your hands hurt while knitting. Stuffing: When stuffing body, do not stuff so much that you are stretching the stitches. Monsters should be squishable. Attachments: If the monster is intended for young children, do not add attachments that could pose a choking hazard (buttons, ribbons, beads, etc.) Washability: Use a durable machine washable & dryable yarn to make cleaning it easy for the parent... a well loved monster will get many washings! Feel: Use a soft huggable yarn. Scratchy, itchy monsters don't get as much love as soft ones
