Blindspot Fingerless Mitts and Cowl
Pattern by Annelle (Anna Popova)

How this pattern came to be
One of the unexpected consequences of me discovering the joy of knitting is the growing collection of screenshots from various movies and TV shows with interesting examples of knitwear In one of the episodes of the show Blindspot I saw a pullover with some unusual (well, for me) stitch pattern. I couldn't find the way it was knitted on the Internet, so I had to figure it out myself. I decided to test it on fingerless mitts and a cowl, but I really want to knit similar pullover, too. This is my first pattern -I hope you enjoy it!

·1 skein Alize Cotton Gold (knit in dark gray color), 329 meters/100 grams, 55% cotton/45% acrylic 3 mm circular knitting needles, 60 cm for the cowl, 80 cm for the mitts (mitts were knitted using magic loop method, but DPNs can also be used) · cable needle

Instructions are given for 1 size only, but you can change the result, using different yarn and/or needles. The size of the cowl can be easily modified, just cast on multiple of 10 stitches and repeat the pattern whatever times you like. For the mitts cast on multiple of 10 plus 2, although changing thumb gusset part will require some knitting experience.

If you have any problems understanding the techniques mentioned in the abbreviations and/or in the pattern, check out verypinkknits YouTube channel. I learned from Staci's videos a lot and would recommend them to anyone who is learning how to knit. (Not an advertisement, just genuine appreciation!)
