Louey Douey Tno-Tone Mitts
Finished Measurements: 6 1/4 in (length) 6 1/2 in (circumference) Gauge: 6 stitches=1 inch (stockinette) Materials: Yarn used in example: Lion Superwash Merino Cashmere 1 ball (40g, 87y) each color worsted weight US 6 DPNs or long circular (magic loop) Pattern Notes: This is a quick, simple pattern that can be knit with less than 50 yards or a small ball each of two colors of yarn. The directions shown are for a womens' small size, but desired can be made bigger by adding stitches divisible by two. The pattern calls for 34 stitches, so for a medium you can cast on 36-38 stitches, 0r 40-42 for a larger size. The yarn used in the example is Lion Brand Superwash Cashmere, which is nice and soft, but any worsted weight yarn can be used. I'm a slightly loose knitter, so if you knit more tightly, you may want to go up to a size 7 needle. The example was knit with a 40" circular in Magic Loop. k (knit) p (purl)yarn A (magenta in ex.) yarn B (cream in ex.) Directions: Cast on 34 stitches in yarn A.
