
Nintendo Kleenex Box Holder
A great present for anyone who loves kitschy things or can remember playing Nintendo with the original controllers. Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in gray and black, and a little bit of red Gauge: $20\;\mathrm{st}=4$ in Needle Size: US 8 Size: Fits large Kleenex Box The bottom 3 rows (closest to the table) are done in garter; the rest of the design is in stockinette stitch. 4 panels are sewn up to make the holder. The pattern is a bit messy and hand written, but I think it does the trick. Plain Back Side (knit one) Co19 Row 1: k19 Row 2: k3, p16 Repeat rows 1 & 2 until 55 rows are completed Bind off Sides (knit two) Co19 Row 1: k19 Row 2: k3, p16 Repeat rows 1 & 2 until 29 rows are completed Bind off Top of box (knit one) Co 22 Work in stockinette stitch for 13 rows Row 14: p10, bo2, p10 Row 15: k10, place next 10 on holder Row 16: continue in stockinette stitch with 10 live stitches until you have 24 rows. Place these 10 stitches on $2^{\mathrm{nd}}$ holder, break yarn. Pick up 10 stitches from $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ holder, continuing stockinette until you have 24 rows. Row 25: p10, c02, p10 from $2^{\mathrm{nd}}$ holder Work in stockinette stitch for 13 more rows Bind off Front of box - follow pattern below Co 19 inGray The bottom 3 rows are in garter stitch, the rest is stockinette like the rest of the panels. Use the picture at the top of this pattern for more color detail. Continue with pattern until 55 rows Bind off Add detail stitching of black for cross on left, black buttons in the middle, and red for buttons on right. Sew all 4 panels together while inside out.
