Pin and stitch to head (Tip: Use the tail from the head to help you centre the head on the body by threading it through the centre of the body and out the bottom through the middle of your magic loop.) A different weight yarn may be used with an appropriate change in needle size. Start with WHITE the written instructions and the chart. 3 - (SC, SC2) x 4 (12) More yardage will be required if scarf is knit larger. Yang (knit width-wise): the first and last 3 stitches of every row are to be knit and are included in and are included in the written instructions and the chart. Tie off, turn inside out and stuff. (Tip: For the arms I only use fluff, no beads. I find the beads weigh them down.) (Bonus Level: Put a single green stitch after you've finished on Hal's right hand for his Power Ring for added Nerd Points.)

AFELNOTESBEFUREUESTART:
Welcome to my Green Lantern Amigurumi Pattern. This is one of my FIRST EVER patterns. Typically I just get an idea in my head, think about it a bit, then start working with little plan. So, with that in mind, I've had to write these as I go, which means I will probably miss certain things. Bear with me, and send me a PM on Ravelry if you find anything screwy! Also, I'm always open to ideas. Star Wars and comic books are my passion for Amis, but that doesn't mean I won't takes suggestions for anime, cartoon or pretty much anything you can think up!
UTSTUFFIRC..
Everyone has their preferred materials and methods of stuffing. If you're new to Amis, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND. If you're a seasoned pro, use your prefered method and materials. I list my own personal preferences in my patterns (ie weighting the feet, 2/3 beans to 1/3 fluff in legs and body, etc) but every ami artist is different, and every doll is different. If your toy is meant for a younger child, maybe beans and bolts are not approriate. If your toy is for display and needs to stand on his own feet, perhaps they are. It's all about artist preference and object purpose.

CREST:(felt)
For me, this was the worst part; I'm thinking if you have a CruiCut machine it will be easy for you. I cut by hand and by machine. I like the clean cut of the machine better, but it can be tricky. I actually have access to an industrial vinyl cutter so, I kind of cheated on that one. So, what you do is cut out your shapes and, if you aren't super neat with a sewing needle (like me) super glue your GL logo onto the white back, then sew (or super glue) it to your Ami's body. LELS:(make 2) Start with GREEN 1 - MR5 2 - (SC2)x5(10) 3 - (SC2) x 10 (20) 4 /5-SCx20 6 - SCx 5, DC x5,SCx 5 (15) 7 - SCx 5, DC, SC, DC, SCx 5 (13) 8 /10-SCx13 Switch to BLACK 11/15 SCx13 Tie off, turn inside out and stuff. (Tip: Turning the smaller pieces inside out can be tricky so I use a larger crochet hook.)
