Edgy stretchy conver-tri-sca

Edgy stretchy - maybe the last version! Easy to knit - effectively to wear. For all the lovers of symmetric scarves - here it is: the triangular, converse version (conver = converse, tri = triangular, sca = scarf). Looks great with gradient yarn - also stunning with every other yarn. To all my ,edgy-stretchy-lovers": Enjoy knitting and wearing. Hope to see your finished projects Material: 1 skein Wollium Farbverlaufswolle col. ,Miami" (240 g/1100 m), 3 strands 100 % merino Circular needle 3,5 mm/US 4, 1 stitchmarker Gauge: 22 stitches/50 rows (unstretched) = 10/10 cm Finished size: width 200 cm, depth 56 cm (unstretched) abbreviations: kfb = make out of a stitch another (knit or purl as pattern requests) SM = stitchmarker ES = edge stitch (at the begin of every row slip it to the right needle with yarn in front, at the end of every row knit) 3 rows garter stitch, 3 rows stockinette stitch changing until there are totally 13 ribs 5 rows garter stitch, 5 rows stockinette stitch changing until there are totally 12 ribs 7 rows garter stitch, 7 rows stockinette stitch changing until there are totally 2 ribs 9 rows garter stitch, 9 rows stockinette stitch changing until there are totally 6 ribs 11 rows garter stitch, 11 rows stockinette stitch changing until there are totally 3 ribs Important: the difference of this version is, that you knit or purl until to the middle (SM) and then you change knit to purl or purl to knit. So the two halves are looking ,mirrored". I suggest to read the pattern before beginning. It helps to get an idea how the procedure goes on. It is really easy to knit.

Cast on:4 stitches
1. row (backside) :kfb, purl 2 stitches, kfb = 6 stitches
2. row (frontside):kfb, knit 2 stitches, place SM , knit 2 stitches, kfb = 8 stitches
3. row (backside):kfb, purl until SM, slip SM to the right needle, knit until the last stitch, kfb = 10 stitches
4. row (frontside):ES, kfb, knit or purl until SM, kfb, slip SM to the right needle, , kfb, knit or purl until to the last 2 stitches, kfb, ES = 14 stitches
5. row (backside):ES, kfb, knit or purl all stitches until SM, (slip SM to the right needle) knit or purl until to the last 2 stitches, kfb, ES
6. row (frontside):ES, kfb, knit or purl to the SM, slip SM to the right needle, knit or purl until to the last 2 stitches, kfb, ES
7. row (backside):ES, kfb, knit or purl all stitches until SM, (slip SM to the right needle) knit or purl until to the last 2 stitches, kfb, ES
Repeat the rows 4 - 7 (as the pattern requests knit or purl)
After 17 ribs will be the rows 4 + 5 repeated (that means the kfb increases in the middle will be worked at every front row ( before they has been worked every
5th row). If you run out of yarn or you have reached the desired size, bind off all stitches loosely. Weave in the ends - finished!

Enjoy!
