Edgy stretchy scarf
Edgy stretchy - just ingenious and stretchy. This scarf was a wish of my daughter Stefanie. Knitted it last evening - perfect for beginners too. It isn't as long as others but very ,stretchable". The next winter is coming soon. Like to see your pics of this project. Material: 250 g smc select Divers0 col. 07502 /58% New wool, 20% Polyamide, 22% Super Kid Mohair Needle no. 10/US 15 Gauge:11 M /12 R = 10/10 cm Measure: length 116 cm, width 25 cm Cast on : 3 stitches
Sequence of ribs
11 ribs with 3 rosw (3 rows knit/purl in change) 11 ribs with 5 with (5 rows knit/purl in change) 6 ribs with 7 rows (7 rows knit/purl in change) 13 ribs with 3 rows (3 rows knit/purl in change) 1st row (frontside) knit 3 stitches 2nd row (backside) purl 3 stitches 3rd row: edge stitch, increase 1 stitch (knit out of the weft, crossed), knit/purl to the last stitch, increase 1 stitch (knit out of the weft, crossed), edge stitch 4th row: edge stitch, knit/purl to the last stitch, edge stitch Repeat rows 1 and 2 as you have reached desired lenght or before running out of yarn (it's helpful to weigh the used yarn after part 1 - that's how much you will need for part 3) 2nd row (backside): edge stitch, knit/purl until the last stitch, edge stitch. Repeat rows 1 and 2 until all stitches are used. Weave in the ends and enjoy snuggle in.
