Nate Hoodie Bulky Version 3 months to 6 years

By Rachel Evans button and bean designs The Nate Hoodie is a comfortable, modern style hoodie. It is knit from the top down, starting at the neckline with the hood added on afterwards. The best feature of the hood is no grafting! It is quick and fun to knit. It is written for sizes 3m to 6y (16" - 25"). I have included the lengths for size 8y and 10y if you are knitting for an older child.
Sizing
Sizes - 3m(6m, 9m, 12m, 18m, 24m) [3y, 4y, 5y, 6y] Chest size - 16/40.5(17/43, 18/45.75, 19/48.25, 20/50.75, 21/53.5) [22/56, 23/58.5,24/61, 25/63.5] inches/cm The Hoodie is written with positive ease so please knit to the chest size of the child rather than their age. You may add extra length if required. For example - if the child you are knitting for is 6 years old but has a size 3y chest measurement, knit the 3y size but when you are knitting to length (on the body, hood and sleeves) knit to the size 6y lengths.

Pick up and knit 3 stitches for every 4 rows up along the edge of the neck opening up until where you picked up the stitches for the hood, then pick up 2 stitches for every 3 rows up the side of the hood. When you get to the live stitches on the other needle, knit across and then continue down the other side picking up 2 stitches for every 3 rows to the bottom of the hood, then from the start of the garter collar, 3 stitches for every 4 rows down to the right corner of the neck opening
