Winter Buds Scarf: A Center Start Crochet Pattern Based on Summer Sprigs by Esther Chandler

Winter Buds scarf - a centre start crochet patterr This pattern is based on the scarf design "Summer Sprigs" published by Esther Chandler. See ravelry.com or Esther's blog at makemydaycreative.com for a free download of the original pattern. The "Summer Sprigs" pattern starts with long rows that decrease in length giving a triangular scarf shape on completion. This "Winter Buds" version starts at one point of the triangle and rows increase in length until the scarf is a suitable size. See the original pattern for added borders. This modified pattern creates the central triangle of the scarf only. All stitches are written using US naming. Use any weight of yarn and select a hook size to suit the yarn. To work a stitch into a chain insert the hook under the far strand only of the chain stitch. ch = chain stitch chsp = chain space dc = double crochet stitch sC = single crochet stitch st = stitch tr = treble stitch
